Grantchester Meadows

On the eve of the Cambridge Folk Festival 2012, a few friends got together on the banks of the river Cam at Grantchester Meadows (the place of the Pink Floyd song). Grantchester, listed in the Doomsday Book, is said to have the largest concentration of Nobel Prize Winners in the world. Students and tourists from Cambridge often punt up the river to the Meadows for a picnic so we had a captive audience as the punts floated by. It was a wonderfully enjoyable evening with plenty to eat and drink and great musical company.

I had just finished a very high profile commercial shoot and luckily had my camera with me; as the sun was setting over the Meadow, I took time out from my cahon playing to take these pictures (Mark Cowan took the vid with his new Sony RX100).
