Tuscany

Tuscany is known for its rich artistic legacy, birthplace of Italian Renaissance and wonderful culinary traditions.  Several sites in the region have been designated World Heritage Sites including Florence, Siena, the cathedral at Pisa and the centre of San Gimignano.  Tuscany was home to Dante, Botticelli, Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, Galileo Galilei and Puccini.

It’s interesting for me to see these photographs that I took around 12 years ago and how I was exploring different styles, trying to find my way.  There’s the usual travel/architectural shots, but I was even trying to use purposeful in-camera motion blur to exaggerate colours, patterns and forms.
